transrants:

Stop assuming trans people want to be cis. Stop erasing nonbinary trans people. Stop with the mentality that being trans is misery all the time and isn’t a point of pride for many trans people.
I don’t want to be cis. I’m trans. I’m proud of that. Sorry that confuses your shitty truscum worldview.

You can’t talk about trans erasure without bringing up the fact that there’s an entire community that wants to redefine transsexualism to fit it’s own demands and wishes to remove a medical definition that allows transsexuals to alleviate dysphoria via medical transition.

Anonymous asked: i don't define myself as trans, don't think i ever will but i think it's a bit harsh to say that dfab folk never feel any dysphoria because while i've never felt major physical dysphoria, ever since i can remember, i've felt ill at ease with my pronouns. like, i don't refer to myself in terms of she/her and i get really anxious/nauseous when others do-- idk it's like i have boobs and a vag, they're part of my body, but i've never associated them with my gender

um ‘dfab folk never feel any dysphoria’ hello friend I am dfab and I experience severe upper body dysphoria which is why I’m so adamant about this issue.

Ok the way I see things is that you need to deconstruct WHY you feel this way about your pronouns. pronouns =/= gender at all so if that’s the only problem you experience then this may just be a weird linguistics thing.

the conclusion for gender norm variation shouldn’t always be an alternate identity and as I’ve explained in a previous post, to make that conclusion is very harmful. also this post has a great explanation as to why you may not strongly associate your body with your gender (spoiler alert: cis privilege)

bring me some statistics about the number of dmab demiboys vs dfab demigirls and then maybe we can have a proper discussion about internalised misogyny and the hypocrisy of wanting to be ~not like other girls~

if you’re trying to talk about demiboys as well and demigirls then why does it only say ‘not like other girls

Looks like your internalized misogyny is showing oops

no exactly my point is that there are basically no dmab demiboys because this is a trend exclusively about dfab feminist folk with no dysphoria wanting to be ‘different’ and invade the trans community, using this label to do so.

you can absolutely use the term to describe your gender nonconformity but don’t appropriate the transgender definition its not cool.
